Medical disclaimer
Last updated: October 3, 2026
In short: MyAllergyCheck helps you read ingredient lists. It does not replace your doctor, and it can be wrong. If you think you are having an allergic reaction, call 911 or your local emergency number.
Information only, not medical advice
MyAllergyCheck compares the words in an ingredient list with the avoid list you entered. That is all it does. It is a general information tool. It is not medical advice, it is not a medical device, and it does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any allergy, skin condition or disease.
Using MyAllergyCheck does not create a doctor and patient relationship, or any other professional relationship, between you and us.
Always ask a healthcare professional
Your doctor, allergist, dermatologist or pharmacist knows your health history. This tool does not. Always ask a qualified healthcare professional about allergies, sensitivities, skin reactions and which products are right for you, and follow their advice above anything shown here.
Never ignore professional medical advice, and never delay getting it, because of something you saw in MyAllergyCheck.
It can be wrong, and it can miss things
- Formulas change. The same product can have different ingredients in different countries, sizes or production runs.
- Product lists can be old or wrong. Barcode lookups use an open database that anyone can edit.
- Photos can be misread. A wrong letter can hide an ingredient or invent one.
- Our ingredient list is incomplete. An ingredient can go by a name we do not know yet, and the links between related ingredients have not been reviewed by a clinician.
- Labels do not show everything. Words such as "parfum" or "fragrance" can hide many ingredients, and traces or contamination are never listed.
- You can react to something that is not on your list. The tool only looks for what you entered.
What "No conflicts found" means
It means only that none of the items on your avoid list were found in the ingredient list as it was read. It does not mean the product is right for you, and it is not a promise that the product will not cause a reaction. Check the label on the product in your hand every time.
Severe allergies
If you have ever had a severe allergic reaction, do not rely on this tool to decide whether to use a product. Talk to your doctor or allergist first.
Emergencies
If you have trouble breathing, swelling of the face, lips or throat, or any other sign of a serious reaction, call 911 or your local emergency number right away. Do not use this tool in an emergency.
You decide
What you buy and use is your decision and your responsibility. See the Terms of use for the full terms, including the limits on our liability.
